The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

First and foremost, I thank God for anointing me to preach His word and for giving me the opportunity to serve the Pleasant Grove Church family as pastor. The past few months have been extremely exciting for me as I have experienced and witnessed the awesome power of God. Truly, the Spirit of the Lord is filling this place.

As a congregation, we are growing in love and working together as we serve the Lord with gladness. As we approach the challenging times that are sure to test our faith and love for one another, we must always remember that standing together steadfastly in love and in faith, we can defeat the devil in any situation that he sends our way.

Once again, I thank God for each of you who make up this familiar congregation. You have encouraged me and you have proven that you are ready and willing to support the mission of the church. Let us continue to work together to bring wayward members back and to attract others who may be looking for a place that is filled with love, faith, understanding, fellowship, and family. If we are truly united in doing our duty, they will see that all roads lead to Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
